In the dead of a cold Montreal winter, lonely, recently divorced Robert Filion learns his father has died in Florida. Robert and his son Maxime, travel to Florida for the funeral and then set out from Dixie with his late father's car for the return trip to Montreal.

Pedro returns to the castle of his childhood, inhabited by his uncle, an indifferent being who scarcely notices his presence. At the castle, Pedro wanders between the park and the salons, playing the songs he composed on the guitar. He notices strange people around the castle.

A young journalist's investigation into the death of her friend, leads to the unveiling of secrets that no one wants revealed.
